The European Union Chamber of Commerce in Canada (EUCCAN) is the umbrella organization of 24 European Union bilateral Chambers of Commerce and Business Associations and 3 associate members from other European countries in Canada. EUCCAN is a developing organization with the mission of becoming “The Business Voice of Europe” throughout Canada. EUCCAN is working to become a key resource and main point of contact for European businesses in Canada and for EU businesses seeking to enter the Canadian market.
Established as EUCOCIT (European Union Chamber of Commerce in Toronto) in 1995 under federal law, our main purpose is to strengthen the economic and trade relations between Canada and Europe. Our organization was renamed EUCCAN in 2013.
The aim of this new platform is to offer valuable up to date information to European business in Canada and to facilitate communication and coordination between the different organizations and regions throughout Canada. EUCCAN is a strong and reliable partner to support European business in Canada.
In 2017 EUCCAN received reinforcement from the EU in the form of a 200,000 EUR grant to strengthen its network and allow for the creation of a platform for EU business in or looking to come to Canada. The timing of this contract is related to the signature of the EU-Canada Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement CETA, which was finalized in October 2016.
In order to promote Europe in Canada and strengthen the economic ties between Canada and Europe, EUCCAN, its members and partners organize Europe related business seminars and networking events throughout the year. The events can be viewed on our events calendar.
